D: River. [lays her down] Are you okay? Talk to me. Okay, um. [nervously checks her over] Oh, breathe, breathe come on. Gotta keep breathing. [listens for breath sounds repeatedly and hovers nervously] Uh… [listens intently and then stares at her, really close to her face] River. You are holding your breath. [River’s eyes open]
O!R: You’re a fine one to talk about holding, how many hands do you have?
D: Get up! What are you doing? Who’s shooting at you?!
O!R: Oh just a few Sontarans. Chased me halfway across the galaxy. I probably shouldn’t have asked them if they were on a hen night.
D: River you can’t DO things like that.
O!R: Or what? You already had me banged up in jail for five years, what else are you going to do? Spank me?
D: [shakes finger at her] Now that’s a-
O!R: [spots dress hanging on coat rack] Doctor. Have you brought someone else here? Does anyone agree to wear that dress? [Doctor facepalms] Where is she? [O!R walks up the staris]
D: River, think it through.
O!R: [from top landing]: This happened the last time we were here, you brought someone else.
D: No I didn’t!
O!R: Yes you did I heard you talking to her! [exits]
D: It’s the same night!
Y!R: [enters] Doctor. Were you talking to someone?
D: No, no, just me. [young River leaves, Older River enters]
O!R: Were you talking to someone?
D: No, no, dear, just me. [Older River exits. TARDIS doors open to reveal third River in green dress]
GD!R: You nostalgic idiot, you just can’t keep away. [Doctor looks panicked] Can you? Doctor? [Green dress River walks toward him touching her dress. Notices other dress hanging on the coat rack] Why have you bought another one of these? [Doctor walks down stairs to meet her] Who else is here?
D: River, could you check the light on top? I think the bulb needs changing.
GD!R: [sceptical] The bulb?
D: [nods] Mmmhmm. [Green dress River goes outside, Older River enters]
O!R: Who are you talking to?
D: You. [comes up stairs] I am talking to you. [pulls out his sonic and grabs her wrist] Back to Stormcage Doctor Song.
O!R: Oh but at least give me a lift, you know what this thing does to my hair. [Doctor Sonics her Vortex Manipulator]
D: It’s always like that. [River rolls her eyes as he presses the button and she disappears. Doctor grins and tucks his sonic away] Heh.
[Door opens and green dress River enters]
GD!R: The light’s fine, I don’t know what you’re talking about.
[Older Doctor runs in after her]
O!D: No, River, wrong TARDIS, I’m parked round back. [Younger Doctor points at him and Green Dress River gasps.] Younger version.
GD!R: Two of you. The mind races, does it not?
O!D: Come on. We’ll be late. [Younger Doctor smirks at them]
GD!R: He’s taking me to the Singing Towers of Darillium. He’s been promising for ages! [she exits, the younger Doctor’s face falls]
D: The first time we met her, at the Library, when she-
O!D: Died. Yes.
D: She said the last time she saw us was at Darillium. [pauses] Is that now?
O!D: [looks sad] Spoilers. Good luck tonight. [younger Doctor nods]
D: You too.
O!D: Yeah. [he turns to exit. Younger River enters with a handful of clothes and see him leaving]
R: There’s two of you. The mind races.
D: Right come on you, let’s go and see the stars. [takes the clothes from her]
R: But I haven’t changed!
D: And you never will, River. Never, ever.
R: What was the other you doing here?
D: Sorry. Can’t say.
R: What’s that word you use?
D: [laughs] Spoilers.
R: I like that word.
D: I thought you might.
R: Doctor, you and your secrets. You’ll be the death of me. [she brushes by him and we see the Doctor’s face, incredibly sad. He turns to follow after her.]
